Posted by on June 11, 2011

People the world over spend countless hours searching for the perfect wedding gifts. While household supplies or cash are the most common gifts given to any bride and groom – the difficulty lies in trying to make YOUR present STAND OUT. The old saying “we eat with our eyes first” also rings true with gift giving.

Gift wrap is an often overlooked accessory of wedding presents. Thoughtful wrapping paper can make any couple forget that you just gave them a fourth set of silverware.

Photo wrapping paper solves many of the issues plaguing gift giving in the modern day. It shows thought, originality, and will be remembered for years to come.

Here’s how you can transform any gifts for your next wedding celebration.

1) Know the bride and groom. With many different styles and designs to choose from, you want to make sure that the couple is correctly represented. Find a wrap that reflects the personality of the bride and groom.

2) Decide the number of pictures you wish to use. You can upload a single picture repeated, multiple pictures, or no picture at all. Most photo wrapping paper styles are designed to accommodate one of these options. Once again, depending on the recipient, one style may be more appropriate.

3) Set the mood. Is this wrap going to make them laugh? Cry? Reminisce? Or will they say AWWW? It can be hard to choose, so making multiple designs for each gift is not a bad idea (* if you are giving more than one).

4) Pick out the perfect images of the couple to use on your gift wrap. Facebook is a great place to start looking. Flickr accounts work well too. If all else fails, contact a friend or family member of the couple to ask for help. Picking the right picture is one of the most important steps in making memorable photo gift wrap.

5) Create a list of all people you would like to give photo gift wrap to. If you have a friend or family member with a birthday, graduation, or another wedding coming up – make and order all your rolls in one shot. This should save you additional shipping costs and may also make the price per roll cheaper. (* this step is optional)

6) Find your wrap! You can visit a local printer or search online. (*Tip – birthday, Valentine’s Day, or a number of other categories often contain styles that can be personalized into wonderful wedding paper. Try not to limit yourself!)

7) Present your gifts to the happy and couple and be prepared for the following: Where did you get this? How did you do this? Why are you so smart, thoughtful, and perfect!?

8) Treat yourself with a massage for thinking of such a good idea – enjoy the festivities!
